Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at Convention Center

AHO is a non-profit organization providing information and education for its members and advocating awareness of hospice care in Alabama.

Hospice providers provide compassionate end-of-life care and counseling for patients and their families, either in their own homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities or in a home-like, family-friendly inpatient setting.

AHO strives to educate members in order to ensure the highest quality of care possible for Alabama’s terminally ill. Our goal is to maintain the highest ethical standards and to establish this organization as a grassroots political voice for the hospice industry and the families it serves.

An annual conference and educational sessions are held throughout the year. Check back regularly for these events for registration, sponsorship and vendor information.

The vision of the Alabama Hospice Organization is to:

Provide its members with the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding end-of-life care
Be seen as the ultimate resource for public policy to improve end-of-life care
Provide members factual information about the latest rules, regulations and local laws pertaining to end-of-life care
Provide superior education at an affordable price to its members
Provide a liaison between members and other national, regional and state hospice organizations, and
Ensure that the citizens of Alabama are informed about their choices for end-of-life care
