Urgent Information!

The latest version of the Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER) has been available since mid-spring and continues to be available for hospices. The Hospice PEPPER (version Q4FY14), summarizing statistics for fiscal years 2012, 2013 and 2014, is available through the PEPPER Resources Portal.  Only 47% of hospice providers have downloaded the report, and NHPCO strongly encourages every hospice provider to access the report and review their hospice’s statistics.   Statistics for each state on PEPPER downloads can be accessed here.  Of Alabama’s 110 providers, only 61.82% have accessed their report.  Please download and review your PEPPER report!!

AHPCO is a non-profit organization providing information and education for its members and advocating awareness of hospice care in Alabama.

Hospice providers provide compassionate end-of-life care and counseling for patients and their families, either in their own homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities or in a home-like, family-friendly inpatient setting.

AHPCO strives to educate members in order to ensure the highest quality of care possible for Alabama's terminally ill. Our goal is to maintain the highest ethical standards and to establish this organization as a grassroots political voice for the hospice industry and the families it serves.

An annual conference and educational sessions are held throughout the year. Check back regularly for these events for registration, sponsorship and vendor information.
